About Abraham Batzin Navichoc

 born in 1964 in San Pedro La Laguna, Sololá, Guatemala, is a self-taught naïve artist whose work reflects the vibrant culture and traditions of his homeland. Now living in Quetzaltenango, he has gained recognition both locally and internationally for his unique artistic voice. His career includes several solo exhibitions, among them shows at Spirit Square Center for Art in Charlotte, North Carolina (1995), The Green House in Quetzaltenango (1997), God’s Tree Gallery in San Salvador (1997), the French Alliance in Guatemala City (1998), and Marmeon Academy in Chicago (2001). Through his colorful and imaginative paintings, Batzin Navichoc continues to share the essence of Guatemalan life and spirit with the world.
